Beacon sequence: Fixed red light 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off
It was one of the 1st. lights on Lake Erie. It guided ships into the Erie Harbor and Presque Isle Bay. Now a Coast Guard Station is there. An electrical back up for the light also exits.

When this light was built on the penninusula, it was officially named Presque Isle Light Station, even though there were two previous ones. Subsequently, the names of the other lighthouses were changed.
